Mr.Alagaratnam landed in Canada in 1988 and continued his studies whilst working at an automotive manufacturing plant. During his 14 year tenure at Noma Industries, not only did he work his way up but he also managed a Shell gas station and started his courier service (Dynevor Express) part time in his car. Today, Dynevor Express owns and operates over 200 tractors, 800 trailers, and 10 commercial warehouses in Etobicoke. It is a transnational business established in Canada, USA and Mexico with over 250 employees.
After completing his higher education in Maths at Jaffna University, Gajen Arumugam began his career as a high school math teacher in Colombo, Sri Lanka. In 1986, he moved to Canada, working his way up from a floor worker to operations manager in an automotive company worth over $110 million. Gajen has established himself within the Tamil and Toronto business communities, currently serving as a member of the CTCC Advisory Panel. After more than 20 years improving his employers’ companies, Gajen decided to establish a business with the help of his brother and a friend. Lucvaa Kitchens was established in August 2007 with one employee, a small facility and basic construction tools. In the past 15 years, Gajen used his knowledge and experience gained from the automotive industry to grow Lucvaa Kitchens to over seventy employees and a rapid expansion in the US. Gajen will bring his keen eye and innovative mindset for improvements and efficiency to his role as a board member of the Tamil Heritage Centre.
Mr.Senathirasa became a Certified Management Accountant in 1989 and a Chartered Accountant in 1993. He started his own practice on a part-time basis from his basement in 1993 whilst gaining knowledge from various CA firms and tax software companies and grew full time in 2004. Today, Senathi & Associates serves a plethora of clients across the GTA.
Mr. Mylvagan has been an active participant and community contributor since 1983. He served the Tamil community in France from 1983 – 1988 and the Canadian Tamil Community from 1988 to date. Professionaly he worked in the automotive industry as a production supervisor and is now retired and fully committed to serving the community full time.
Mr.Lankeswaran earned his undergraduate degree in IT Security at the University of Ontario, completing on the dean’s list whilst working full time. He then completed his Masters Degree in Business & Technology from the University of Waterloo. Today, Mr.Lankeswaran’s real estate business focuses on Real Estate Sales, Financing, Investing, Construction & Development.
